Everyone comes to Mahjong with a different experience.
Some people are just starting to learn the rules. Others have been playing socially for years but want to improve their strategy.
I’m curious to hear from you.
What part of Mahjong do you find most challenging right now?
Is it something like:
- remembering the rules
- recognizing winning hands
- understanding strategy
- reading the table
- finding people to play with
Or maybe something completely different.

I think recognizing winning hands quicker than I have in practice and becoming more comfortable with all the rules.

That’s a great insight, and very common at this stage.
Recognizing winning hands gets much faster with repetition, as you start to see patterns instead of individual tiles. The same goes for the rules, they become more intuitive the more you play.

I would say 5. finding people to play with, as well as 2. recognizing winning hands,
Everyone is busy with different priorities so it is hard to find like-minded people nowadays. I am just hoping to connect with other Mahjong players near me.
Also I still need to improve my skills and sometimes the tiles/hands are just confusing lol.
